남은일을 마무리하다

I’ve got to tie up a few loose ends.

M: Working overtime again? Do you realize it’s already 11:00?

W: Already? Gosh, I feel like I have no social life outside of work these days.

M: Wrap it up and let’s have a cold one. Mike and Angela are at the bar already.

W: Why don’t you go ahead? I’ve got to tie up a few loose ends and then I’ll catch up with you guys a little later.

M: 또 야근하고 있어? 지금 벌써 11시인 것 알아?

W: 벌써? 이런, 요즘 일 외에 다른 사회 생활은 전혀 없는 것 같아.

M: 일 그만 마무리 짓고 시원한 맥주나 마시러 가자. 마이크하고 앤젤라는 벌써 바에 가 있어.

W: 먼저 가 있을래? 난 남은 일만 좀 마무리하고 조금 이따 거기로 갈게.

 

Wrap up은 일을 ‘마무리 짓다’라는 뜻이며 a cold one은 보통 시원한 맥주를 가리킵니다. 또한 tie up a few loose ends는 일이 끝나기 전에 남은 일을 처리하는 것을 말합니다.
