M: Our clients will hit the ceiling if you don’t get it done on time.

W: I will see what I can do. But to be honest I’m not very optimistic.

M: I understand you’ve had your hands full with too much work, but let’s try to work it out together.

M: 너 이 일 제시간에 안 끝내면 우리 고객이 난리가 날 거야.

W: 내가 어떻게든 해 볼게. 그래도 솔직히 낙관적이진 않아.

M: 네가 지금 일이 너무 많은 것 알고 있지만 그래도 우리 함께 일을 풀어나가도록 노력해 보자.

 

Meet the deadline은 ‘마감시간을 지키다’라는 뜻이고 over a person’s head는 ‘너무 어려워 이해되지 않는’, ‘능력을 벗어난’, hit the ceiling은 ‘매우 화가 나다’라는 뜻입니다.
